We all want to create the culture where everyone is thinking and acting like an owner, but our employee teams are anything but monolithic. Every employee owner brings their individual experiences, expectations, and motivations to the table, and you do too! At this Lunch N Learn, we have a former VP of Organizational Development from an employee-owned company introducing us to leadership styles and personality traits, and how they can make -- or perhaps even break -- a successful ownership culture.

The Ohio Employee Owner Retreat is a two-day, off-site training program staffed by the Ohio Employee Ownership Center, where employee-owners learn from and interact with their peers from other ESOP companies. In small groups, structured exercises, and informal discussions, employee-owners develop new skills and a new perspective on employee ownership at their respective companies.
The program is designed primarily for hourly and salaried non-managerial employees and provides them with an opportunity to learn with and from their peers. Typically, attendees come from outstanding ESOP companies where developing a culture of ownership is considered an important aspect of corporate success.

One of the fundamental resources of the employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) movement is the large group of dedicated, well-intentioned people who agree to serve as trustees, board members or other fiduciaries on behalf of their company’s ESOP. If you are one of those dedicated people, you have undoubtedly felt the concern that is inevitable when taking on that sort of responsibility. The Beyster Institute at the University of California San Diego has developed a special intensive education program to help relieve some of that concern – the Certificate Program for Non-Professional ESOP Fiduciaries.
This program is not just another seminar or conference; it is a comprehensive, and demanding, certificate program that prepares you and your fellow in-house fiduciaries with the knowledge and training you need to do the job.
