Bob Cohen via Buckeye Farm News explains how cooperatives can help navigate the difficult economy.
The Cooperative Development Center at Kent State University has worked in the support, training, and development of many cooperatives, including Select Machine and the Evergreen Cooperatives, since the Center was established in 2009.
The OEOC and staff will receive three awards at the upcoming Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE) conference next week (July 27-30) in Cleveland. The Center will be receiving an award for its work on the Evergreen Cooperative Initiative; OEOC staffer Bob Cohen will receive the Reginald J. Cressman Award for outstanding commitment to staff development; and OEOC founder, John Logue (who passed away last December), will posthumously receive the first John Logue ACE award for his lifetime commitment to employee ownership and cooperative development.
More information on the awards is here.
